The Young Mummys RUN experience

This year I was absolutely over the moon to be selected by Netball Victoria as an official ambassador for Rock Up Netball (RUN). The RUN program, developed in conjunction with VicHealth, aims to provide females aged 15 years and over with an easy, low cost ‘pay as you play’ and informal opportunity to play netball in an enjoyable environment.

BEC BULLEY TALKS NEW MOTHERHOOD AND RUN

It’s 5.15am and my alarm has just gone off. It’s time to get up, get dressed and get to training! I can’t be late or I’ll be locked out and will miss the session with my teammates! I make it just as the sun starts to rise and 5 minutes before schedule Fast forward 12 months… It’s 5.15am and my 3 month old baby girl, Indie, is awake already! We get up, give Indie her breakfast and change her nappy. After a short play, Indie is ready for another sleep. Whilst she is asleep, I quickly duck through the shower, get dressed and throw my hair into a pony tail!

I grew up as the youngest in a four-daughter family, so it’s fair to say that inevitably, netball was going to become a part of my life in some way or another. With my mother being a junior Victorian netballer – and a Physical Education teacher by day – it wasn’t long before I had a netball in my hands.
